In June 2001, River won BOB, BOW and WD!

In January 2001, River picked up his first AKC points!
The first day of the 2-day show, River took RWD to a 4 point major. On day two, River took WD and
BOS over the male specials for a 4 point major. He is now on his way to
achieving his AKC CH.

River arrived at our Alaskan home in September 1999.
Upon arrival, we began pinching ourselves at our good fortune to have our first Aussie male be of this
outstanding quality.

River was a wonderful "uncle" to Tarrah's Summer 2000 litter.
We all appreciated River's efforts to keep the puppies occupied.
River is looking forward to playing with pups from his own litter (with Tarrah) in
2001.

River has beautiful movement and is clean coming and going.
With limited showing in 2000, River took two reserves to five-point majors from puppy classes and garnered numerous
compliments from judges.
River also acquired points toward his SKC championship. |

River has started obedience classes in preparation for his CD.
At his young age, River is already showing nice potential as a performance
dog. He has been introduced to agility obstacles and will soon begin agility
training.
We are also very excited that River loves herding! At 13 months old, River
had limited work on stock before attempting a leg toward his STDs title under
Judge Ken Silveira. Despite his limited exposure, River got his qualifying
leg with a single attempt and took a 2nd place ribbon with his score. And this was out of 12
competing dogs. He accomplished this while being handled by Cheryl Mallonee who had not worked
River previous to the trial. Thanks, Cheryl, for a job well done!

In 2001, River will be working toward his conformation championships and his
performance titles. We have high hopes for this handsome blue boy!
